Do you think about ways you can help the planet?
What about how you can be the change in your home, school or business, but not sure of how to go about it?
The first thing to do is learn some basic info, be inspired by what can be done and then make some simple changes. It's the small things that people are doing each and everyday that are making a world of difference.
Earth Guardians change the world by making a difference each and every day, through the regular things that they do. They are the heroes that the world has been waiting for.
Guardian Programs are for people who want to make a positive difference to the world.
Resource Guardians program is about saving the world's resources, focusing on waste. This program has been taken in by schools across WA after departments noticed a lack of focus on the 'reduce' message. Everyone talks about recycling, but there are so many steps missed before waste end up at the recycling centre.
Waste, the dirty little secret that no one really wants to think about. It’s not fun like splashing through water, it doesn’t look cuddly like a koala, or beautiful like an old growth forests. In fact waste can be smelly, messy and embarrassing- but it’s one of the most important subjects of sustainability.
What really happens to your waste? When you throw it into the bin it simply goes away by the rubbish truck, do you know where away really is?
Let’s start looking at waste as a resource, something that can be used again. Even if it’s broken, empty or old, the materials can be made into something new.
In this program we look at the story of waste, where it comes from and what’s happening to it. We also look at many ways to reduce waste and to encourage your family, school or work place to make Waste Guardian changes.
This is a beautifully designed 32 page full colour book that includes the wooden 'Resource Guardian' badge. Perfect for eager students who want to know more about sustainability.
The book will be posted to you with a wooden 'Resource Guardian' badge to wear.
Price is inclusive of book, badge and postage,
